Match & Catch Middle Sound UK app for iPhone and iPad

Being able to blend and segment letters is a foundational skill for a child’s reading development. With this lively app, children can practise these skills by deciphering the missing middle sound of consonant-vowel-consonant words. Three crabs appear on the beach, along with an illustration of a CVC word. The first and third crab are each carrying a pebble with a letter. A passing seagull drops similar pebbles, one of which is the letter needed to complete the word. The crabs can be moved along the base of the screen in order to catch the required letter. When completed, the word appears on a pebble at the side of the screen and a new game begins.

Perfect for Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as supporting the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
